Prepare for the adventure!!!

It was a little over a year ago that the Kim's mother and uncle's decided to use the family inheritance to have the entire family fly to Italy for a Family Reunion/ Vacation. How lucky can we be. Unfortunately we don't get to leave at the same time. Kim leaves with Becky (mother) and Taylor (brother) on July 2nd and Nate leaves on July 5th with Sydney (K - sister) and Rick (brother-in-law).

And so, the preparation begins...

Kim has spent the last 3 weeks sense schools broke out for summer break, working on her Professional Certification for her Masters. This thing is crazy!!! The finished product consists of one 4 inch binder full of "Evidence" that was collected over the last year and a one inch binder of written portfolio with all the reasoning for each piece of evidence. All that covers 12 criteria with 52 subheadings. On top of all that she has had to pack and make any other final preparations before we leave.

Nate has been working diligently at work to make sure all bases are covered while he is gone. He has also been working extra time for the last two months to cover for the extra time off he will need. He has also been making many preparations around the house. Fixing the sprinkler system to be sure that the yard is in good shape while we are gone.

While we are gone, our friend Beth will be staying with the animals. It's going to be interesting to see how the animals react to us being gone for such a long period of time. But we are sure they will live.

So, that is just a small glimpse of where we are at. Coming soon will be highlights and pictures of the things we are doing on our trip. Being that internet connectivity will be limited, we will update this as often as we can.
